Make your impact

My name is Quan King and I am the Founder of the QK Family Foundation, a Philadelphia-based non-profit driven to harness mentoring as a means to re-invest in the urban youth. To that end, I have launched this podcast-based platform that aims to connect teens (13-18) and young adults (19-25) to resources that they need to be successful. In over 20 years of working with this demographic, I have often seen first-hand what happens when "good intentions" fail to meet the needs of those in need. To remedy that, I will speak with groups of teens and young adults throughout the Philadelphia area to get a better understanding of what life is like from their unique perspective, dispel myths and misgivings, but also serve as a resource for organizations and businesses that truly have the means to make significant and sustainable impacts.

To be clear, this is not about making money. My goal is to provide the platform for teens and young adults to be seen, heard, and understood, on their terms. Your donation will support 8 high-quality, professionally produced video podcast episodes that will complement additional audio episodes focused on specific topics. I will be working with a local production team to create this visual content and the funds raised will support this endeavor 100%.

We all have something to give

Mentors are not just for kids who have hit a rough patch. Everyone who has gotten from A to B can point to a parent, teacher, friend, coach, colleague, etc. that has helped to open a door or better prepare them from the road ahead. Now is your opportunity to give back to the next generation. Maybe you can’t give financially (which is okay), so lend your story. Share with young people your journey, what your teenage and young adult experience was like, and what advice would have made a difference for you… back then!

Hit me up and let’s get your story out there to help our young people today! Email me at qkfamilyfoundation@gmail.com
